AI search engine Perplexity has launched its own web browser, Comet, built on Chromium. The browser integrates an AI assistant that can summarize pages, answer questions, and perform tasks on behalf of the user.
The launch positions Perplexity as a direct competitor to traditional browsers like Google Chrome, with early access available to its new $200/month "Perplexity Max" subscribers.
